BookDuke is a bookseller based in Brooklyn, New York, specializing in rare, used, and collectible books.
BookDuke began with a love of rare and collectible books — the joy of finding a special edition, an old favorite, or a book you did not know existed until you saw it. That love is still what drives every book we bring into the shop, and it is why we started selling: to share those finds with other readers and collectors.
We are especially passionate about philosophy and literature, and about books connected to famous actors — the lives, careers, and stories behind the performances. Those are the shelves we return to again and again, and the kinds of books we are always hoping to find.
We hand-select the best copies we can find. Every book we offer is in good condition or better, because we know the condition of the copy matters just as much as the title. If we would not be glad to add it to our own shelves, we do not offer it for sale.
We pack and ship every order with care. Your book is packed safely to protect it in transit, and we ship right away — usually the same day or the next day, within 1–2 days of your order — via USPS Media Mail. We take shipping seriously, and our orders arrive safely, with no issues.
Every book in the shop is listed here on bookduke.com, where you can browse the full catalogue and buy direct. This site is our home. We also sell through other marketplaces, and buyers there have left feedback on their purchases — you will find a link to that feedback in the footer of this site.
